Preliminary behavior period parameter

Definition

Preliminary behavior period is a parameter that determines the maximum period that will be analyzed, at the user level. Based on this data, the analysis will find the drivers for the long-term goal.

Additional details

  • The analysis will ignore the following events if the user reaches the goal before the preliminary period ends. E.g if the preliminary period was set to 7 days and the user reached the goal after 3 days, the analysis will analyze the user's behavior only in the first 3 days.

Examples

  • Analyze users' first-week (preliminary) behavior to find what drives them to purchase within 2 weeks (long-term goal).
  • Analyze users' first 2 days' (preliminary) behavior to find what drives them to stay active in their second week (long-term goal).
